    Set house tempo.
    Hold TEMPO around 123 BPM.

    Four-on-the-floor.
    Step-sequence a kick on every beat in Group A, with hats on the offbeats.

    Add a chord stab or vocal chop.
    Sample a chord or vocal and CHOP it, triggering stabs on the offbeat.

    Make it pump.
    Apply sidechain so the bass and chords duck under each kick.
  5. 5
    Open it up over time.
    Automate the filter to sweep the loop open across the pattern.

  • Keep it on a tight grid.
  • One well-chosen chord stab can carry a whole track.
