The TX-6 functions as a 12-channel USB audio interface with three different routing modes. Connect it to your computer or iOS device via USB-C (MFi certified for direct iPhone connection). Choose the routing mode that matches your workflow.

Routing Modes

Access system menu (SHIFT + select), navigate to USB settings. Three modes available:

  • 2 ch: Sends stereo main mix to computer, receives stereo back. Simple bidirectional audio.
  • 12 in: Receives 12 channels from computer, mixes with analog inputs, outputs stereo main mix. Great for playing stems or using software instruments alongside hardware.
  • 12 out: Sends all 6 stereo channels (12 total) post-fader to computer, receives stereo input to main mix. Perfect for multitracking individual channels into your DAW.

Additional Settings

Main out source: choose "ext" (USB overrides main output) or "mix" (USB and analog signals blend together).

Output volume: adjust USB output level to prevent clipping in your recording software.

Sample rate: default 48 kHz. Multi mode allows your computer to choose between 48 kHz and 44.1 kHz.

Practical Use

For recording a live mix, use 2 ch mode. For multitracking all channels separately in your DAW, use 12 out mode. For integrating software stems with hardware mixing, use 12 in mode.
