How do I connect my inputs?
TX-6tutorialguide
The TX-6 has six stereo input channels, each accepting a 3.5 mm stereo jack. Each channel can receive line-level, instrument, or other audio sources depending on your setup.
Input types and gain
Each channel has a gain control to match your source level. The TX-6 supports a range of sources including synthesizers, drum machines, phones, and other line-level devices. Use the upper knob in input mode to adjust gain per channel.
Important connection warnings
- Never connect a TX-6 input to a microphone input that has active phantom power, as this can damage the unit.
- When connecting or disconnecting cables while the unit is running, always connect to the TX-6 end of the cable first.
- Turn off power to all connected units before making connections where possible.
Using the 3.5 mm adapter
A 3.5 mm adapter is included in the box, which allows you to connect devices with different connector sizes to the TX-6's inputs.
Checking your signal
Once connected, the fader meters on each channel will show incoming signal levels. Use the faders to balance your mix and watch the screen for clipping or level feedback.
