How do I use the cue output for monitoring?
TX-6tutorialguide
The cue output on the TX-6 lets you privately monitor any channel before it hits the main mix. It's useful for previewing tracks through headphones without affecting the main output.
Enabling cue monitoring
- 1.Press the cue button to activate cue mode.
- 2.Press the track button for any channel you want to listen to in cue. The selected track will be routed to the cue output.
- 3.Adjust the cue volume using the encoder or dedicated cue level control.
What to connect
The cue output is a 3.5 mm jack on the TX-6. Connect your headphones or an IEM setup directly to it. Use the included 3.5 mm to 6.3 mm adapter if your headphones have a larger plug.
Things to keep in mind
- The cue output is independent from the main and aux outputs, so cueing a track does not send it to the main mix on its own.
- You can cue multiple tracks at once by pressing additional track buttons while in cue mode.
- The cue button also appears in the MIDI reference as a mappable control, so it can be triggered remotely if you are using the TX-6 in a MIDI setup.
