Synth mode turns each of the TX-6's six channels into a sound generator that mixes with the input signal. You can trigger sounds manually, sequence patterns, or run oscillators continuously.

Enabling Synth Mode

  1. 1.Press SHIFT + select to open the system menu.
  2. 2.Turn the select encoder to scroll to "synth mode."
  3. 3.Click select and choose your mode: play (trigger with buttons), seq (play sequenced patterns), or tone (oscillators always on).

Configuring Sounds

Hold a track button and turn the select encoder to access synth settings for that channel. You can adjust:

  • Waveform: sine, triangle, square, sawtooth, kick drum, snare drum, hand clap, or hi-hat
  • Frequency: pitch of the sound
  • Length: decay time
  • Detune: fine-tuning adjustment

Using the Sequencer

In seq mode, each track can play step-based patterns synced to the internal tempo. Press the corresponding track button to trigger or stop the pattern. Access tempo settings by tapping the select encoder from the home screen, then adjust BPM by turning select. Click select to start or stop the sequencer.

The synth signal mixes with any audio coming into that channel's input, so you can layer synthesized sounds with external sources.
