How do I use synth mode?
The TX-6 has a built-in synthesizer on each of its six tracks. You can play notes via the track buttons, use the sequencer, or control it over MIDI.
Enabling synth mode
Each track has its own synth engine. Access synth mode through the track menu for the channel you want to use.
Synth settings
Once in synth mode, the parameter knobs let you control:
- Waveform
- Frequency
- Length
- Detune
These can also be controlled via incoming MIDI CC messages on channels 1-6.
Playing notes
You can trigger notes using the track buttons on the TX-6 itself, or send MIDI note messages to the synth. The synth responds to notes C0 through B8 chromatically on channels 1-6.
Sequencer
The built-in sequencer works alongside the synth, letting you program patterns per track. Sequence patterns can also be controlled via MIDI CC.
MIDI control
If you want to control the synth from an external device, send MIDI note and CC messages to the corresponding track channel (1-6). You can also disable local control via MIDI CC if you want the TX-6 knobs and faders to stop affecting the synth directly, responding only to incoming MIDI.
