How do I sync with Pocket Operators?
TX-6tutorialguide
The TX-6 can sync Pocket Operators using its sync output feature, which sends a clock pulse through the audio outputs.
Setting up sync output
The TX-6 has a dedicated sync output mode that sends a sync pulse signal compatible with Pocket Operators and other devices that use audio sync.
- 1.Access the system menu by holding shift and pressing the encoder.
- 2.Navigate to the sync output setting using the encoder.
- 3.Enable sync output on the desired channel. The sync pulse will be sent through that channel's output.
- 4.Connect a cable from the TX-6 output to the Pocket Operator's sync input (the left 3.5mm jack on most Pocket Operators).
- 5.Set the Pocket Operator to sync mode SY2 or SY4 (depending on your setup) using the Pocket Operator's own menu.
Tips
- Keep the sync channel's fader at an appropriate level, as the sync pulse level affects whether the Pocket Operator detects the signal reliably.
- The TX-6's tempo will drive the Pocket Operator's tempo once sync is established.
- Make sure the sync output channel is not muted.
Check the sync output section of the TX-6 manual for the specific channel assignment options available in your firmware version.
