What's the best workflow for beginners?

The OP-1 Field workflow centers on playing sounds in synth or drum mode, recording them to tape, and then mixing everything together. Follow these steps to build your first track.

Get a sound going

1. 1.Press synth to enter synth mode. Press any key from 1 to 8 to load a preset sound.
2. 2.Play the keyboard to hear the sound. Press T1 to see the engine, T2 for the envelope, T3 for effects, and T4 for the LFO.

Record to tape

1. 1.Press tape to enter tape mode. Press T1 to select track 1 and find an empty spot.
2. 2.Hold record and start playing notes on the keyboard. Press stop when done.
3. 3.Use the arrow keys to rewind, then press play to listen back.

Layer more sounds

1. 1.Press drum to switch to drum mode and load a kit using keys 1 to 8. Repeat the record process on T2.
2. 2.Continue layering on T3 and T4 as needed.

Mix it all together

1. 1.Press mixer then T1 to adjust individual track levels and panning. Use T2 for EQ and T4 for master output volume.
