How do I sample in stereo?

OP-1 Fieldtutorialguide

The OP-1 Field's synth sampler and drum sampler both support stereo recording natively. You just need to use a stereo input source and the unit will capture both channels.

Setting up stereo input

Press shift + input (the mic key) to open the input screen. Use the blue encoder to select your input source, such as line in or USB audio. For line in, use the ochre encoder to set the signal to stereo rather than mono. Adjust input gain with the orange encoder and recording threshold with the gray encoder.

Recording into the synth sampler

  1. 1.Press synth and select the sampler engine by pressing shift + T1, then choose sampler from the list.
  2. 2.Press the input key to activate your chosen input source.
  3. 3.Hold any key on the keyboard and play your source audio. Release the key when done.
  4. 4.Use the encoders to trim the start and end points of your sample.

Recording into the drum sampler

  1. 1.Press drum and load the drum sampler engine via shift + any key from 1 to 8.
  2. 2.Press a key on the keyboard to assign a sample to that key, set your in and out points, then press the same key again to confirm.
  3. 3.In the drum sampler, channels can be set to stereo L+R or stacked A+B using the shift view on T1.

The stereo waveform is visible in both samplers when you hold shift on the T1 screen.
