How do I sample in stereo?
OP-1 Fieldtutorialguide
The OP-1 Field has a stereo sampler built into synth mode, allowing you to record stereo audio from any input source.
Accessing the Stereo Sampler
Press the synth key, then press SHIFT + T1 to browse engines. Scroll with the blue encoder until you find "Sampler" and confirm by tapping the blue encoder or pressing T1.
Recording a Stereo Sample
- 1.Press the input key to select your audio source (mic, line in, FM radio, or USB audio).
- 2.Adjust the threshold with the gray encoder and gain with the orange encoder.
- 3.Hold any keyboard key to start recording. Release the key to stop.
Editing Your Sample
Once recorded, use the four encoders to set your sample points:
- Blue: start point
- Ochre: loop in point
- Gray: loop out point
- Orange: end point
Tap any encoder to zoom in on that section for precise editing. Press SHIFT while turning encoders to access additional parameters like playback direction, fine tuning, loop fade, and gain.
The sampler is chromatic, so each keyboard key plays the sample at a different pitch. You can create region loops within your sample for creative playback options.
