How do I record to tape?

Recording to tape on the OP-1 Field:
Enter tape mode: 1. Press the tape button 2. You'll see the 4-track tape interface 3. Each tape style has a different character
Select a track: 1. Press track buttons 1-4 2. Selected track is highlighted 3. Record arm by pressing record
Start recording: 1. Press play (tape rolls) 2. Play your synth, drum, or sampled sounds 3. Audio records to the selected track 4. Press stop when done
Tape styles (new in Field):
- Studio 4-track — Professional quality, 15 ips
- Vintage 4-track — Classic analog character, 7.5 ips
- Porta 4-track — Cassette flavor, 3.75 ips
- Disk mini — Digital compression, psychoacoustic processing
Changing tape style: 1. In tape mode, press shift + tape 2. Select "new" tape 3. Choose your style 4. Each tape = 6 minutes recording time
Recording tips:
- Watch levels — Field has improved metering
- Use the stereo engines for wider recordings
- Punch in/out for precise edits
- 24-hour battery means long sessions possible
