What are the different tape styles?

The OP-1 Field has four tape styles, each offering 6 minutes of recording time across 4 stereo tracks at 32-bit resolution. They differ in character and sound quality.

Available Tape Styles

Studio 4-track Professional recording quality at 15 inches per second. This is the highest fidelity option.

Vintage 4-track Classic model recording at 7 1/2 inches per second. Offers a vintage character with less fidelity than Studio.

Porta 4-track Consumer high-speed multitrack using compact cassette format at 3 3/4 inches per second. The most lo-fi analog option.

Disc mini Magneto-optical data storage with psychoacoustic digital audio compression. A digital approach to recording.

Each style affects the sonic character of your recordings. You can switch between styles to match your creative intent, whether you want pristine digital quality or vintage tape warmth and artifacts.
