How do I use the output/mixdown feature?
The output/mixdown feature lets you capture a stereo recording of your live performance or tape playback as a single audio file, accessible when you connect to a computer via USB.
Getting to the output screen
Press the output key to access the output screen.
Recording a mixdown
- 1.Press T4 to begin recording.
- 2.Navigate anywhere within OP-1 Field and play, performing whatever you want to capture.
- 3.Press T2 when your performance is complete to stop the recording.
- 4.Press T3 to prepare for another recording if needed.
Accessing your files
Connect OP-1 Field to your computer via USB. Your two mixdown recordings are stored as 6-minute audio files alongside the four individual tape track files.
FM transmit option
From the same output screen, you can also choose the radio antenna option instead of recording. This lets you set an FM frequency to broadcast whatever you are playing over the FM band. Press T1 or blue to go live, T2 to pick a transmit frequency, and ochre to fine tune it. If an OB-4 is nearby, press T3 or tap gray to sync the frequencies automatically.
Tip
Choose an FM frequency not occupied by an existing radio station to avoid interference.
