How do I use the FM radio transmitter?
The FM transmitter lets you broadcast your OP-1 Field's audio wirelessly to FM radios, car stereos, or compatible devices like the OB-4.
Accessing the Transmitter
Press the output key to enter output mode. The FM transmitter is located here alongside the mixdown recorder.
Broadcasting
- 1.Press T1 or turn the blue encoder to go live and start broadcasting.
- 2.Press T2 or turn the ochre encoder to select your broadcast frequency (87.5-108 MHz).
- 3.The OP-1 Field automatically scans and suggests the best available frequencies with minimal interference.
Auto-Sync with OB-4
If an OB-4 is nearby and detected, a special icon appears on screen. Press T3 or turn the gray encoder to automatically link and sync the frequency with your OB-4's magic radio feature.
Use Cases
The transmitter is ideal for broadcasting to car stereos during road trips, connecting wirelessly to vintage radios, or pairing with the OB-4 speaker. The broadcast range is relatively short, designed for personal or small room use. The transmission power is -49.56 dBm, operating in the standard FM band (87.5-108 MHz).
