How do I use the Amp engine and tuner?
The Amp engine is a simple four-parameter amplifier with a built-in tuner. Access it by pressing SHIFT + T1 in synth mode and selecting Amp from the engine list.
Amp Engine Parameters
The four encoders control:
- Blue: Volume
- Ochre: Compressor
- Gray: Tone
- Orange: Overdrive
Use the amp engine to shape your overall sound with dynamic compression and harmonic saturation from the overdrive parameter.
Accessing the Tuner
Press T2 while in the Amp engine to switch to the built-in tuner. The display shows the current note and tuning accuracy.
Play any key on the keyboard and watch the visual indicator. The tuner helps you check if your OP-1 Field is in tune with other instruments or if you need to adjust the global tuning via SHIFT + Tempo settings.
Press T1 to return to the Amp engine parameters. The tuner is only accessible through the Amp engine, not as a standalone mode.
