teenage manual

How do I use the Amp engine and tuner?

OP-1 Fieldtutorialguide

The OP-1 Field manual does not include an "Amp" synthesis engine or a built-in tuner among its documented features. The synth engines listed in the manual are Cluster, Digital, DNA, Dr Wave, FM, Sampler, String, Vocoder, and Dbox (for drums).

What the manual does cover

If you are looking to shape amplitude and volume, these tools are available:

  • The T2 envelope (ADSR) controls how a sound's volume behaves over time, including attack, decay, sustain, and release.
  • The Master Out screen (T4 in mixer mode) includes a Drive control that compresses and saturates the output level.
  • The Tremolo LFO can modulate volume using the gray encoder for volume modulation amount.

For tuning

  • Global tuning can be adjusted in the settings menu, accessed via shift + tempo. Select the keyboard setting using the blue encoder, then use ochre and gray to adjust velocity sensitivity and global detuning.
  • Individual synth sounds can be fine-tuned using shift + encoder combinations depending on the active engine.

If you are thinking of a specific feature by a different name, check the built-in user guide by holding shift then pressing help for more detail on any screen.
