How do I use MTP for file transfer?

OP-1 Fieldtutorialguide

MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) lets you import and export sounds and presets between your OP-1 Field and computer without entering disk mode.

Connecting via MTP

  1. 1.Connect OP-1 Field to your computer using USB-C
  2. 2.Hold SHIFT and press COM (output key)
  3. 3.Press T4

Your computer should now recognize the OP-1 Field as an MTP device and you can browse its files directly.

What You Can Do

MTP mode gives you access to preset files and audio samples. You can drag and drop sound files to import new samples into the synth sampler or drum sampler. You can also export your saved snapshots and presets to back them up or share them.

The snapshot presets are stored as audio files in separate folders for synth and drum modes. This makes it easy to organize and manage your sound library.

Exiting MTP

When you're done transferring files, simply disconnect the USB cable. The OP-1 Field will return to normal operation automatically. There's no need to eject or unmount like in disk mode.
