How do I use effects?
Effects on the OP-1 Field are accessed via the T3 key in both synth and drum mode. One effect is active at a time, and you can toggle it on or off quickly while playing.
Accessing effects
Press T3 while in synth or drum mode to open the effects screen. The color-coded encoders map to the effect's parameters as shown on the display.
Changing the effect
Press shift + T3 to open the effects browser. Turn the blue encoder to scroll through the available effects, then press T3 to confirm your selection.
Available effects
- CWO
- Grid
- Nitro
- Mother
- Phone
- Spring
Toggling on and off
Press T3 again at any time to toggle the active effect on or off without losing your settings.
Master effects
In mixer mode, press T3 to apply an effect to the entire mix rather than a single sound. The same effects are available, but they affect the main output. Note that master effects are not recorded to tape, but will be captured during a mixdown.
Tip
Combining effects with an LFO (found under T4) lets you modulate effect parameters over time, which can add a lot of movement and character to your sounds.
