How do I manage multiple tapes?
OP-1 Fieldtutorialguide
The OP-1 Field can store up to 8 tapes in memory, each with 4 stereo tracks and 6 minutes of recording time. You access and manage them through the tape browser.
Accessing the Tape Browser
Press SHIFT + Tape to open the tape browser. Use the blue encoder to scroll through your tapes. Press T1 or tap the blue encoder to load the selected tape.
Creating a New Tape
- 1.Open the tape browser with SHIFT + Tape
- 2.Scroll to an empty slot using the blue encoder
- 3.Press T2 to create a new tape
- 4.Choose a tape style: Studio 4-track, Vintage 4-track, Porta 4-track, or Disc mini
Each style has different sonic characteristics but all offer the same 6 minutes and 4 stereo tracks at 32-bit resolution.
Renaming and Deleting
In the tape browser, use the track keys T1-T4 and encoders to rename tapes. Press T3 to delete a tape. The OP-1 Field automatically saves all tape data, so switching between tapes preserves all your recordings on each one.
