What effects are available on the EP-40?

The EP-40 Riddim has 7 built-in effects plus Punch-In FX 2.0 for performance, and a master compressor for final output control.

Built-In Effects

Press FX while playing to access these effects. Use minus and plus to switch between them. The fader controls the effect amount.

  1. 1.Delay: KnobX = length, KnobY = feedback
  2. 2.Reverb: KnobX = length (room size), KnobY = color (brightness)
  3. 3.Distortion: KnobX = drive, KnobY = color
  4. 4.Chorus: KnobX = modulation, KnobY = feedback
  5. 5.Filter: KnobX = cutoff, KnobY = resonance
  6. 6.Compressor: KnobX = drive, KnobY = speed
  7. 7.Phaser: KnobX = modulation, KnobY = feedback (unique to EP-40)

Punch-In FX 2.0

Hold FX and press pads to trigger 12 dub-inspired performance effects. These are pressure-sensitive and can be combined. You can also record punch-in effects directly into the sequencer.

Master Compressor and Sidechain

Press SHIFT + FX to access the output compressor. KnobX = drive, KnobY = speed. For sidechain ducking, press SHIFT + FX, then PLUS. Hold a group pad to set the source, SHIFT + group pad for the destination. KnobX controls duck length, KnobY controls duck shape.
