How do I remix the artist tracks?
The EP-40 Riddim comes with preloaded artist tracks in projects 1-5 that you can use as starting points for your own creations.
Loading an Artist Project
To access an artist track, hold MAIN and press a pad from 1-5. Each project contains a different artist's work with their sounds, patterns, and arrangements already set up.
Remixing Techniques
Start by exploring what's there. Press SOUND and use minus/plus to browse through the loaded sounds. Press the different group pads (Group A through Group D) to hear what each instrument group is playing.
To modify patterns, press MAIN to enter main mode, then press RECORD and tap pads to add new notes. Hold ERASE and press pads to remove notes you don't want.
Making It Your Own
Replace sounds by pressing SOUND, selecting a pad, then using minus/plus to scroll through the 999 available sounds. You can also add your own samples by pressing SAMPLE and recording from the microphone or line input.
Rearrange the song structure using scenes. Hold MAIN and use minus/plus to switch between scenes, or enter song mode by holding MAIN and pressing ENTER to see the full arrangement.
Add effects by pressing FX and moving the fader up while using minus/plus to switch between the 7 available effects. For performance-style remixing, press SOUND + MAIN to enter Live State mode where you can trigger loopable samples and use punch-in effects.
