How does live mode work?

Live State mode is designed for performance and improvisation. Enter by pressing SOUND + MAIN (the icon illuminates when active). This mode fundamentally changes how the device handles tempo and samples.

Core Features

Live State uses "vinyl time" where tempo changes affect pitch, so samples speed up or slow down rather than time-stretching. Any tempo changes you make are temporary and revert when you exit the mode. This creates a more organic, DJ-style performance feel.

Loopable samples (those set to LOP play mode) run continuously in the background. Tap the pad once to mute, tap again to unmute. These loops are always ready and create the foundation for live remixing.

Punch-In Effects

Hold FX and press any of the 12 pads to trigger dub-inspired effects. These are pressure-sensitive and combinable, meaning you can hold multiple pads simultaneously for layered effects. You can even record these punch-in effects directly into your sequencer patterns.

Customization

You can disable any buttons you don't need during performance through system settings codes 900-937. This prevents accidental button presses while performing. When you press a disabled button, the two dots on the display blink as a reminder.

Exit Live State by pressing SOUND + MAIN again, and your tempo will return to its original setting.
