The phaser is one of seven built-in effects on the EP-40. Press FX while your pattern is playing, then use minus or plus to scroll through the effects until you reach phaser.

Controls

KnobX adjusts the modulation depth. KnobY controls the feedback amount, which increases the intensity and resonance of the phasing effect.

The fader controls the overall effect amount. Move it up to increase the phaser's presence in your mix.

Solo Tracks

To apply the phaser to specific groups only, hold FX and press a group pad (Group A, Group B, Group C, or Group D). You can hold multiple group pads to solo several at once. This lets you apply the phaser selectively, perfect for dub-style builds where you want phasing on just drums or just bass.
