Keys mode lets you play a single sample chromatically across all 12 pads, like a keyboard. You can also use a connected MIDI keyboard to play the same way.

Activating keys mode

Select the pad with the sound you want to play, then press keys to spread that sample across the 12 pads chromatically.

Changing octave

Hold keys and press minus or plus to shift the octave up or down. If you exceed the highest octave, the notes from the same octave will repeat so you can keep playing.

Transposing the scale

Hold keys and press a pad to transpose the scale to a different root note.

Recording notes

To record a note to a step, hold record and press the pad you want on that step. To live record, press record then play to get a four-beat count-in, then play your notes into the pattern.

Erasing notes

Hold eraser and press the pad for the note you want to remove.

Changing the scale

By default the pads use 12-tone equal temperament. To change the scale, press shift and eraser to open system settings, navigate to pad settings, then navigate to "sca" and choose from options including major, minor, dorian, pentatonic, and more.
