How do I use the TP-7 with TX-6?
The TP-7 and TX-6 work together as a complete multitrack recording and mixing system. Connect them via USB-C cable, then use the TX-6's mixer controls to shape your TP-7 recordings in real-time.
Basic Connection
Connect the TP-7 to the TX-6 using a USB-C cable. Set the TX-6 to "12 in" mode to receive all individual tracks from the TP-7. The USB connection carries both audio and power.
Mixdown Recording
The mixdown feature lets you use the TX-6's faders, EQ, and effects on your TP-7 recordings, creating a final stereo mix.
- 1.Select the multitrack file you want to mix on the TP-7
- 2.Press record + down to arm mixdown mode (the display shows "MIX")
- 3.Press play to start playback and recording simultaneously
- 4.Adjust faders, EQ, and effects on the TX-6 in real-time as the recording plays
- 5.Press stop when finished
The result saves as a new stereo file on the TP-7 while keeping your original multitrack recording intact. This workflow lets you experiment with different mixes without losing your source material.
Monitoring Setup
You can monitor through either device. Connect headphones to the TP-7's main output or use the TX-6's monitoring options. The TX-6 gives you more control over monitor levels and mix balance during recording sessions.
