How do I connect via USB-C?
TP-7tutorialguide
The TP-7 uses a USB-C port for both charging and file transfer to a computer. The manual does not provide detailed step-by-step instructions for USB-C connection beyond these two uses.
Charging
Connect the included USB-C cable to the TP-7 and to a 5V USB power source, such as a computer USB port or a dedicated USB charger. Using any other voltage could damage the unit and will void the warranty.
File transfer
Connect the TP-7 to your computer via USB-C to transfer recorded files. Teenage Engineering also offers a companion app to assist with file management.
Important notes
- Only use 5V USB power for charging, never higher voltages
- If connecting or disconnecting cables while other devices are in use, connect to the TP-7 first to avoid damage
- Never connect the 3.5mm jack inputs or outputs to a microphone input with active phantom power, as this can damage the unit
