The TP-7 supports Bluetooth (BLE) for connecting to a companion app and for MIDI control. You enable and manage it through the settings menu.

Accessing Bluetooth settings

Navigate to the settings menu on the TP-7 and find the BLE (Bluetooth) option. From there you can enable or disable the Bluetooth connection.

What Bluetooth is used for

  • Connecting to the companion app for file management and device control
  • Sending and receiving MIDI messages wirelessly
  • The TP-7 can transmit controller MIDI data (buttons, wheel, rocker) over BLE
  • Incoming MIDI over BLE can control playback speed, volume, gain, and more

MIDI over Bluetooth

When connected via BLE in controller mode, the TP-7 sends CC messages for buttons like rec, play, stop, up, down, left, right, and memo, plus pitch bend from the rocker. Incoming BLE MIDI can control mix volumes per channel (CC 7), input gain (CC 9), and other parameters.

For full details on the companion app connection process, check the companion app section of the manual or the teenage engineering website, as the manual references it as a separate resource.
