How do I edit a recording?
The TP-7 has a non-destructive edit system that lets you trim, split, and manage recordings directly on the device. Here is how to access and use the edit functions.
Accessing edit mode
Navigate to a recording in the library, then enter the edit screen for that file. The edit functions are accessed through the menu while a recording is selected.
Available edit operations
The manual covers these editing capabilities:
- Trim the start and end points of a recording
- Split a recording into separate files
- Mixdown with the TX-6
Mixdown with TX-6
The TP-7 supports mixdown recording when connected to a TX-6 mixer, allowing you to combine and process your recordings through the TX-6's channels and record the result back to the TP-7.
Important note
Unfortunately the detailed step-by-step button sequences for the edit functions are not fully captured in the available manual excerpt. For complete instructions on trimming, splitting, and other edit operations, the official guide at teenage.engineering/guides/tp-7 will have the full detail for each operation, including the exact button presses and rocker movements required to set edit points and confirm changes.
