How do I edit a recording?

You can edit recordings by entering edit mode, which lets you overdub or overwrite specific sections of individual tracks.

Enter Edit Mode

Press record + stop together to toggle edit mode on/off.

Choose Edit Type

Hold record + down to toggle between:

  • DUB: overdub mode (layers new audio over existing)
  • WRITE: overwrite mode (replaces existing audio)

Set Your Edit Point

  1. 1.Scrub the tape reel to find where you want to start editing
  2. 2.Press record to arm the track (LED flashes)
  3. 3.Press play to begin recording at that point

Recording Controls

While playing back, press record to toggle recording on and off. This lets you punch in and out of recording as the playback continues.

Use plus/minus to select which track you want to edit.

Cue Recording

Hold record + up to arm cue rec mode. This records only between cue markers you've set, useful for precise section replacement.

Convert Recordings

Hold record + plus/minus to access conversion options:

  • ADD: add empty tracks to your recording
  • BOUNCE: mix and merge tracks down to fewer tracks
