The tape track rearranges audio from other tracks to create glitch effects and tape-style manipulations.

Routing Tracks to Tape

Select Auxiliary Track 6 (Tape). Press M2 to access routing. Add instrument tracks by holding their track buttons and pressing keyboard keys to toggle them on or off.

Tape Parameters (M1)

The four encoders control:

  • Dark grey: pitch adjustment
  • Mid grey: playback speed
  • Light grey: loop length
  • White: dry/wet mix

Additional Processing

Press M3 to access filter controls and send the processed tape signal to FX I or FX II for additional effects. Press M4 to add LFO modulation to any tape parameter for evolving glitch textures.

Workflow Tips

The tape track works best with melodic content or rhythmic loops. Start with longer loop lengths and slower speeds, then reduce loop length and increase speed for more aggressive glitching. Layer the tape output with your original tracks for hybrid sounds, or use it at 100% wet to completely transform the source material.
