The tape track lets you loop, pitch-shift and rearrange audio from other tracks in real time, creating glitchy and creative effects. It sits in auxiliary track 6.

Getting to the tape track

Press auxiliary to open auxiliary mode, then press track button 6.

Playing tape

Use the musical keyboard to trigger clips from any tracks routed into the tape track.

Main controls (M1)

Use the four encoders to shape the tape sound:

  • Dark gray encoder: pitch of the tape
  • Mid gray encoder: speed of playback
  • Light gray encoder: loop length
  • White encoder: mix between tape and original audio

Routing tracks into tape (M2)

Press M2 to open the routing module. Rotate the encoders to add or remove instrument tracks from the tape's routing. Only routed tracks will run through the tape. Click any encoder to switch between tracks 1-4 and 5-8.

Filter (M3)

Press M3 to access a high-pass and low-pass filter. Rotate the dark gray encoder to adjust the high-pass cutoff, and the white encoder to adjust the low-pass cutoff. Hold shift and rotate the light gray and white encoders to control the FX send levels.

LFO (M4)

Press M4 to add LFO modulation to tape parameters for even more movement and chaos. Use the encoders to set speed, amount, destination and parameter.
