How do I use the pitchbend as modulation?

You can route the pitchbend strip to modulate any synthesis parameter instead of just pitch.

Configuring Pitchbend as Modulation

Press Instrument, then hold SHIFT and press Instrument again to access preset settings.

Turn the dark grey encoder to select 'mod' instead of 'bend'. This changes the pitchbend strip from pitch modulation to parameter modulation.

Once set to mod, use the remaining encoders to configure what gets modulated:

Select the target parameter you want to control
Set the amount of modulation
The pitchbend strip will now control that parameter instead of pitch

This works great for controlling filter cutoff, LFO amount, effect sends, or any other synthesis parameter. You can still use pressure sensitivity (left side bends down, right side bends up the modulation amount).
