How do I use the Maestro player?
Maestro is a player that lets you record a chord or note pattern and trigger it from any key, automatically transposing it up or down based on what you play.
Enabling Maestro
Press players on any instrument or auxiliary track to open the player, then press players again to enable it. Hold shift and press players to change the player style to Maestro.
Recording notes into Maestro
Hold shift and play notes on the musical keyboard to record them into Maestro. These notes will be played back whenever you press a key, transposed up or down relative to what you recorded.
Adjusting Maestro parameters
Use the four encoders to shape how Maestro plays back:
- Dark gray encoder, roll, strums the notes more or less
- Mid gray encoder, pattern, switches between up, down, up/down, and random playback order
- White encoder, hold, keeps the chord playing without holding the key down
Tips
Maestro is great for quickly playing chords across a sequence. Record a chord shape once, then play different keys to hear it transposed. Combined with the hold function, you can trigger full chords with a single key press and free up your hands for other controls.
