The Hold player sustains notes until the next one is played, making it ideal for bass lines and chord progressions.

Enabling Hold

Press Players (right side, below com). Press Players again to enable the Hold player. Hold SHIFT + Players to cycle through and select the Hold player style.

How It Works

When Hold is active, any note you play will sustain indefinitely until you play another note. This creates smooth, connected phrases without gaps between notes. It's particularly useful for creating flowing bass lines, sustained pad textures, or legato chord progressions where you want one chord to hold until the next one arrives.

Typical Uses

The Hold player works best on synth tracks where you want continuous sound. For bass tracks, it ensures the low end never drops out between notes. For chord pads and strings, it creates seamless transitions. You can combine Hold with step sequencing or live recording to build evolving harmonic patterns that maintain constant presence in your mix.

Hold has no additional parameters to adjust beyond enabling it. Once active, it simply changes the playback behavior of your notes.
