The drum sampler lets you trigger up to 24 one-shot samples across the keyboard, and includes a slicer for chopping samples into pieces using three different methods.

Setting up the drum sampler

Press instrument and select a drum track. Press sample to enter the sample record page. Press a key to select it, then hold M1 to record a sample to that key. Samples save automatically to the user folder.

Use M2 and M3 to navigate between keys that have samples recorded, and M4 to clear a sample assignment from a key.

Editing samples

For each key you can adjust:

  • Tune (dark gray knob)
  • Sample start (mid gray knob)
  • Sample end (light gray knob)
  • Play mode (white knob): key, oneshot, mute group, or loop

Hold shift while rotating to access pan, fade, gain, and direction.

Slicing a sample

Hold a key, then press M1 to enter the slicer. Rotate the dark gray knob to choose a slice mode.

Transient mode detects the loudest hits automatically. Use the white knob to set the number of slices, and the mid and light gray knobs to adjust individual slice start and end points.

Even mode divides the sample into equal sections. Set the section start and end with the mid and light gray knobs, and the number of slices with the white knob.

Tap mode lets you set slice points manually. Tap M1 to start playback and tap it again at each point you want to slice. Press M2 to stop and lock the final slice. Press shift and a key to delete a slice.

Slices automatically fill the keyboard and are set to choke each other.
