How do I use project templates?
Project templates were added in OS 1.1.15, so make sure your OP-XY is updated to at least that version. Templates let you start new projects from a predefined setup rather than the default instrument configuration.
Creating a template
- 1.Set up a project exactly as you want your template to look, with instruments, patterns, and settings configured to your liking.
- 2.Press project to open the project view.
- 3.Press M4 to open the configure screen.
- 4.From here you can save your project as a template for future use.
Using the "make default" option
As of OS 1.1.17, there is also a "make default" option for templates, which lets you set a specific template as the one that loads whenever you create a new project.
Loading a template
When creating a new project, hold M1 in the project view to create a new project. If templates are available, you will be presented with the option to choose one as your starting point rather than the built-in default.
Note that the full template configuration interface is not deeply documented in the current manual, so exploring the on-screen options after updating to OS 1.1.15 or later is recommended to discover all available controls.
