How do I use parameter locks?
Parameter locks let you record a specific encoder value to an individual step, so that parameter snaps to your chosen setting only when that step plays back.
Recording a parameter lock
Hold down a step on the sequencer, then rotate any of the four encoders while keeping the step held. The value you dial in is saved to that step across all four modules.
Playback
When the sequencer reaches that step, the parameter jumps to the locked value, then returns to normal on the next step. This is great for filter sweeps, one-off pitch changes, or volume accents on specific hits.
Smoothing between locks
By default, parameter locks snap instantly. To smooth the transitions between locked values, hold bar and rotate the white encoder. This adds interpolation between steps.
Skipping locks with step components
You can control how often a parameter lock fires by adding the skip parameter lock step component. Hold shift, select the step, then press the relevant natural key to apply it. Use the accidental keys to set how many repetitions are skipped between each firing.
Clearing locks
To remove parameter locks without deleting notes, hold bar and press M2. To remove both notes and locks together, hold bar and press M4.
