External audio on the OP-XY lets you route outside sound sources through the device's filters, effects, and sequencer. Connect your audio source to the 3.5mm audio input, then configure Auxiliary Track 5 to process it.

Setup

Press Auxiliary, select Track 5. Press M1 to access input settings.

M1 - Input Settings

Configure your source and levels:

  • Dark grey encoder: select input source (mic, headset, line in, USB, or main output)
  • Mid grey encoder: drive (add character/distortion)
  • Light grey encoder: input level
  • White encoder: mix (blend between dry and processed signal)

The built-in microphone and level meter are located on the top right of the device.

M2 - Routing

Route Track 5 to effects sends and output destinations.

M3 - Filter and FX

Apply filtering and send to FX I or FX II:

  • Dark grey encoder: filter cutoff
  • Mid grey encoder: resonance
  • Track send options: aux out, tape, FX I, FX II

M4 - LFO

Add modulation to any Track 5 parameter using the LFO module.

You can also sequence Track 5 to trigger audio processing at specific steps, creating rhythmic gating or filter sweeps synchronized to your project tempo.
