How do I use external audio?
The OP-XY can send and receive audio through its audio input jack and multi-out port, managed via the external audio track in auxiliary mode.
Setting up audio input
Press auxiliary and select track 5 to open the external audio track. In M1, rotate the dark gray encoder to choose your input source: mic, headset, audio input, usb audio, or main output. Click the dark gray encoder to activate the input.
M1 encoder controls: - Dark gray: select input source - Mid gray: adjust drive (analog gain, using the built-in preamp) - Light gray: adjust the level in the master mix - White: adjust the mix into the main output
Routing tracks to the aux output
Press M2 to open the routing module. Rotate the encoders to add or remove instrument tracks from the aux audio output. Click any encoder to switch between tracks 1-4 and 5-8.
Setting up audio output
To send audio out of the multi-out port, press com and rotate the light gray encoder until "audio" is shown. Connect a 3.5mm cable from the multi-out port to your external device.
Filter
Press M3 to access the high-pass and low-pass filter. Rotate the dark gray encoder for high-pass cutoff and the white encoder for low-pass cutoff.
Using an external effects unit
Connect the multi-out to your effects unit input, then connect the effects unit output back into the OP-XY's audio input. In the external audio track, use drive, level and mix under M1 to balance the return signal.
