How do I load samples from a computer?
OP-XYtutorialguide
You can load samples from a computer via MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) using the USB-C port. Mac users need the Fieldkit app, Windows users can connect directly.
What you need
- The USB-C cable included with your OP-XY
- Fieldkit app if you are on a Mac
- Samples in WAV or AIFF format, with alphanumeric filenames (-, # and space are also supported)
Steps
- 1.Connect your OP-XY to your computer with the USB-C cable.
- 2.Press com, then press M4 to enter MTP mode.
- 3.Your OP-XY will appear as a drive on your computer. Mac users can access it via the Fieldkit dropdown in the taskbar.
- 4.Open the "samples" folder, then the "user" folder inside it.
- 5.Drag your WAV or AIFF files into the user folder. You can also create folders directly inside the "samples" folder to organise your sounds. Note that subfolders inside those folders will not appear on the device.
- 6.When finished, press M4 to eject the OP-XY, then unplug the cable.
Your samples will now be available in the sample folder on the device, ready to load into any sampler track.
