How do I change tempo and grooves?
Press tempo from any screen to open the tempo page. From there you can adjust the BPM, groove style, groove amount, and metronome.
Adjusting tempo
Rotate the dark gray encoder to change the BPM. You can also tap tempo repeatedly to tap in your desired tempo.
Choosing a groove style
Rotate the mid gray encoder to select from the available groove styles:
- Shuffle
- Half shuffle
- Bombora
- Wobbly
- Gaussian
- Accents
- Island nod
Setting groove amount
Rotate the light gray encoder to dial in the feel. Turning clockwise past center adds swing, while turning counter-clockwise adds shuffle. Swing nudges notes one way and shuffle the opposite direction.
Metronome
Rotate the white encoder to adjust the metronome volume. Click it to toggle the metronome on or off.
Per-track groove
You can also apply groove on a per-track basis. Hold bar and rotate the light gray encoder to set the groove amount for just the current track. This will override the global swing value set in the tempo screen. The groove style used is the one selected in the tempo screen.
