How do I backup projects?
OP-XYtutorialguide
Backing up your projects requires putting the OP-XY into MTP mode and copying the project files to your computer. Mac users will need the Field-Kit app installed first.
Connect and enter MTP mode
- 1.Connect your OP-XY to your computer using the USB-C cable.
- 2.Press com to enter the com screen.
- 3.Press M4 to enter MTP mode. This option only appears when the device is connected to a computer.
Access and copy your projects
- 1.Your OP-XY will appear as a drive on your computer. Mac users may need to open it via the Field-Kit app in the taskbar.
- 2.Open the drive and you will see three folders: "presets", "projects" and "samples". Open the projects folder, then the "user" folder inside it.
- 3.You will see a list of all your projects plus a "backups" folder. The backups folder holds all history files for your projects.
- 4.To back up a single project, copy both the project file and its corresponding backup folder.
- 5.To back up everything, select the entire projects folder and copy it somewhere safe on your computer.
Finishing up
- 1.When done, press M4 to eject the OP-XY, then unplug the USB-C cable.
Note that you can also rename projects directly from your computer, but only use alphanumeric characters plus these special characters: -, # and space.
