The fader is the vertical slider on the left side of the device. By default it controls the volume level of the current group, but it can be reassigned to control many other parameters.

Changing what the fader controls

Hold FADER and press one of the pads to assign a new parameter. The available assignments are printed above the pad rows on the panel, including level, pitch, time, LPF, HPF, FX send, attack, release, pan, tune, velocity, and mod.

Recording fader movements

Hold RECORD and move the fader to record its movement as automation into your pattern. When step sequencing, this records the fader position at the current step as a latched value rather than a continuous sweep.

Adjusting group project volume

Hold a group pad (A, B, C, or D) and move the fader to change that group's overall project volume. This applies across all patterns and scenes in the project and cannot be automated.

Precise adjustments

Hold SHIFT while moving the fader for finer control over the current value.

Resetting fader automation

Press SHIFT and FADER to reset all fader assignments in the current group to their default positions. Press the combo again to undo the reset.

To erase recorded fader automation entirely, hold ERASE and FADER for two seconds while the sequencer is stopped.
