The KO II has six built-in effects: delay, reverb, distortion, chorus, filter, and compressor. Each group sends to one master effect, and you control the send level with the fader.

Entering FX mode

Press FX while playing. Use minus and plus to switch between the six effects.

Setting the FX level

Move the fader to control how much of the current group is sent to the effect.

Adjusting effect parameters

Each effect uses the two knobs for parameter control:

  • Delay: knob X sets repeat time, knob Y sets feedback
  • Reverb: knob X sets room size, knob Y adjusts color (brightness)
  • Distortion: knob X sets drive, knob Y adjusts color/filter
  • Chorus: knob X sets modulation rate, knob Y sets feedback
  • Filter: knob X sets cutoff frequency, knob Y sets resonance
  • Compressor: knob X sets drive, knob Y sets speed

Soloing a group

While playing, hold FX and press a group pad to solo that group. Hold multiple group pads to solo several groups at once.

Punch-in FX

Hold FX and press the numbered pads to trigger punch-in effects during playback. These are pressure sensitive and can be combined for quick live performance variations.

Master output and sidechain

Press shift and FX to access the master compressor and sidechain settings.
