How do I sample a sound?
Press SAMPLE to enter sample mode. All LEDs will blink, indicating the device is ready to record.
Hold down any pad to start recording. Release the pad to stop. The sample is automatically stored in the next available slot in your sound library and assigned to the pad you held.
Recording Options
Use minus/plus to toggle between input sources:
- Internal mic
- Line in mono
- Line in stereo
- Resample mono (captures K.O. II's output)
- Resample stereo
- Line in left mono
- Line in right mono
knobX adjusts input level. knobY sets the threshold (recording starts when input exceeds this level).
Advanced Techniques
Choose specific slot: Hold SOUND, type a number on the pads (like 303), press ENTER, then press SAMPLE to record directly to that slot.
Hands-free recording: Press SHIFT + pad (device holds the pad for you). Press PLAY to sample for the current pattern length. Use minus/plus during hands-free to adjust bar count.
Re-record: Press and hold the same pad again to overwrite.
