To sample a sound on the EP-133 KO II:

  1. 1.Enter sample mode — Press the sample button. All pads will start blinking to indicate recording is ready.
  2. 2.Choose your input source — Press the minus or plus buttons while in sample mode to select: - Built-in microphone - Stereo line input (3.5mm jack) - Left channel only - Right channel only
  3. 3.Record your sample — Hold down any pad while the sound plays. The EP-133 records audio from your input source. Release the pad when done.
  4. 4.Audition your sample — Press the same pad again to hear what you recorded.
  5. 5.Record more samples — Keep pressing other pads to record additional samples to the group.
  6. 6.Exit sample mode — Press the sample button again to return to the main sequencer.

Pro tips:

  • Use the X knob to control input level (amplitude) before recording
  • Samples auto-save to the sound library
  • If a sample isn't quite right, hold that pad again to re-record over it
  • Samples can only be deleted manually via the sound mode
