How do I use song mode?
Song mode lets you arrange your scenes into a complete track that plays automatically from start to finish.
Entering song mode
Hold MAIN and press the ENTER pad. The display will show song positions 1-99. Each position holds one scene, and each scene plays for the duration of its longest pattern.
Navigation and playback
Use plus/minus to move between song positions.
Press PLAY to start from the current position. Press SHIFT + PLAY to start from position 1.
Building your song
- 1.Press SHIFT + Group A to add a scene at the current position.
- 2.Use SHIFT + minus/plus to change which scene plays at that position.
- 3.Press SHIFT + C to cut a scene from the current position.
- 4.Press SHIFT + D to insert a scene at the current position.
Workflow tips
Build your scenes first in main mode using commit (SHIFT + MAIN). Then enter song mode to arrange them. Think of it like arranging building blocks: intro at position 1, verse at 2, chorus at 3, verse at 4, chorus at 5, outro at 6.
Each scene will loop until the song advances to the next position. The timing is automatic based on your pattern lengths.
