How do I use sidechain?

Sidechain ducking makes one group quieter when another group plays, great for pumping basslines or creating space in your mix.
Setup
- 1.Press SHIFT + FX to enter output mode
- 2.Press PLUS to activate sidechain
- 3.Hold the group pad you want to use as the trigger (for example, Group A for kick drum)
- 4.Hold SHIFT + the group pad you want to duck (for example, SHIFT + Group B for bass)
Controls
- KnobX: Duck length (how long the volume stays down)
- KnobY: Duck shape (how quickly it recovers)
Tips
You can trigger from one group and duck multiple groups at once. Hold SHIFT + multiple destination group pads to set them all as targets.
The classic techno pump comes from using your kick drum in Group A to duck the bassline in Group B. Start with medium length and experiment with the shape control to get the rhythm you want.
