How do I use punch-in effects?

Punch-in FX let you trigger real-time effects on your beat with a single button hold, making them ideal for live performance and quick variations.

How to trigger punch-in FX

Press play to start your pattern, then hold FX and press any of the pads. Each pad triggers a different effect, and you can combine multiple pads at once for layered results.

Pressure sensitivity

Punch-in FX respond to how hard you press the pads, so pushing harder will intensify the effect. This works on individual pads and when combining effects.

Recording punch-in FX

You can record punch-in FX into your pattern. While your pattern is playing and recording is active, hold FX and press pads as normal. The FX movements will be captured into the sequence.

Tips for performance

Hold FX and press a group pad (Group A, Group B, Group C, or Group D) to solo that group while performing. You can hold multiple group pads to solo several groups at once, which pairs well with punch-in FX for dramatic live edits.
