How do I use punch-in effects?

Punch-in effects are performance effects you trigger live by holding pads while a pattern plays. They're pressure-sensitive and you can combine multiple effects at once.

Activating Punch-In Effects

Hold FX and press any of the 12 pads to trigger an effect. The harder you press (if velocity is enabled), the more intense the effect. You can press multiple pads simultaneously to layer effects.

Using During Performance

Press PLAY to start your pattern, then hold FX and tap or hold pads to add live effects. Release the pads to stop the effect. This works great for build-ups, drops, or adding movement to static patterns.

Tips

The punch-in effects are separate from the standard FX that you access with the fader. Think of punch-in as momentary performance tools, while the fader effects are ongoing processors. Experiment with different pressure levels if you have velocity enabled (set via SHIFT + ERASE > pad settings > vel) to find your sweet spot for expression.
