How do I use auto-chop on breakbeats?

Auto-chop is perfect for slicing breakbeats into individual hits that you can rearrange and play across the pads.

Load and chop your breakbeat

1. 1.Press SAMPLE and record or load your breakbeat sample onto a pad.
2. 2.Press SHIFT + SAMPLE to enter chop mode.
3. 3.Select the group where you want the slices to appear (A, B, C, or D).
4. 4.The auto-chop algorithm analyzes your breakbeat and intelligently divides it into slices based on transients and rhythm. The slices automatically populate across the 12 pads from bottom-left to top-right.
5. 5.Use minus/plus to adjust how many slices are created. More slices give you finer control, fewer slices keep larger chunks of the break intact.

Refine your slices

After auto-chopping, you can fine-tune each slice. Select any pad, then turn KnobX to adjust the start point and KnobY to adjust the end point of that slice. Hold SHIFT while turning the knobs for finer control over the slice boundaries.

Performance tips

Once chopped, you can play the breakbeat live by hitting pads, record new patterns using just certain slices, or use KEYS mode to pitch individual slices chromatically. Try mixing auto-chop with live chop for creative control.
