How do I trim a sample?
KO IItutorialguide
Trimming lets you set the start and end points of a sample so only the part you want plays back. You do this inside Sound Edit mode.
Enter Sound Edit
- 1.Press sound to enter sound mode, then select the group and pad with the sample you want to trim.
- 2.Press shift + sound to enter sound edit mode.
- 3.Press minus or plus to navigate to the trim page (it appears as "trim" on the display).
Adjust the trim points
- 1.Turn knobX to move the start point of the sample.
- 2.Turn knobY to adjust the length (end point) of the sample.
Fine control
- 1.Hold shift while turning either knob for finer, more precise adjustments.
Save your edits
- 1.Hold shift + sound for two seconds to save the edits to the current sound.
Note that trim edits only affect the sound within your current project and do not overwrite the original sample file itself.
