You trim a sample by adjusting its start point and length in sound edit mode.

Enter sound edit mode

Press SHIFT + SOUND and hold for 2 seconds when you're done to save your edits.

Navigate to trim mode

Press minus or plus repeatedly until you reach the trim edit page (it's the second option after the main sound mode page).

Adjust trim parameters

Turn KnobX to set where the sample starts playing. Turn KnobY to set how long the sample plays.

Fine control

Hold SHIFT while turning either knob for slower, more precise adjustments.

The trim settings only affect how the sample plays in your current project. They don't permanently change the original sample file itself. If you want to use the same sample with different trim settings in another project, you'll need to adjust it separately there.
