How do I record fader automation?
You can record fader movements into your pattern either during live recording or while step sequencing.
Live recording
Hold record and move the fader while the pattern is playing to record the fader's movement in real time.
Step sequencing
Hold record and move the fader while stopped to record the fader's position to the current step. This is a latching record, not momentary, so the value stays fixed at that position.
Changing what the fader controls
By default the fader controls group level, but you can reassign it. Hold fader and select one of the options printed above the pads, such as pitch, LPF, HPF, attack, release, pan, tune, velocity, or mod.
Viewing recorded automations
Hold fader to see which assignments have recorded automation. Any assignment with recorded movement will blink.
Erasing fader automation
While stopped, hold erase and fader for 2 seconds to delete all fader automation for the current group and pattern. While playing, hold erase and fader to delete fader movements live, setting the fader position to wherever it was when you first pressed the combo.
Resetting the fader
Press shift and fader to reset the fader's virtual position to the default for all assignments in the current group.
