Here's a quick path to making your first beat on the EP-133 KO II:

  1. 1.Power up — Lift the top lid, insert 4x AAA batteries, then slide the orange power switch on the top right.
  2. 2.Load a project — Hold main and press 1-9 to select a project (6-9 come blank from factory).
  3. 3.Fill pads with sounds — Press sound to enter sound mode, select a group (A, B, C, or D), then use the minus and plus buttons to browse and assign sounds to each pad.
  4. 4.Enter main mode — Press main to get to the sequencer.
  5. 5.Record a beat — Tap record then play to start recording with a 4-beat count-in. Hit the pads to lay down your drums, then press play again to stop.
  6. 6.Commit your work — Press shift and plus to save the current patterns as a scene before moving on.
