The KO II defaults to a 1-bar pattern length, but you can extend it before or during recording, up to a maximum of 99 bars.

While in record arm mode

Hold record and press + to increase the pattern length by one bar. Repeat to add more bars.

While the pattern is playing

Hold record and press + or - to change the pattern length on the fly without stopping playback.

To duplicate the pattern length

Press record to enter record arm mode, then hold shift and press +. This doubles the pattern length and copies the existing notes into the new bars.

A note on group lengths

Each group has its own pattern, so you can set different lengths per group. For example, Group A drums can be 1 bar while Group B bass runs for 2 bars, which is useful for creating evolving arrangements.
