You can transfer samples between your KO II and a computer using the EP Sample Tool, accessed via a USB-C connection.

What you need

  • Your KO II
  • A USB-C cable (5V / min 1A)
  • A computer with internet access

Steps

  1. 1.Connect your KO II to your computer using a USB-C cable.
  2. 2.On your computer, go to teenage.engineering/apps/ep-sample-tool in your browser.
  3. 3.Follow the on-screen instructions in the tool to transfer samples to or from the device.

Extra notes

The EP Sample Tool automatically converts any sample/bitrate combination using a high-quality resampler before downloading samples to the device.

Samples with a lower-than-native sample rate are also supported. For example, you can fit approximately 50 minutes of 11.025 kHz/16-bit mono audio into 64 MB, which is useful for saving space and achieving a lo-fi sound.

The tool also supports backup and restore of your full project (added in OS 1.2.0), so it is worth keeping your firmware up to date.
