How do I change the volume of an individual sound?
There are two ways to adjust the volume of a single sound on the KO II, depending on whether you want a quick adjustment or a more precise edit.
Quick adjust in Sound mode
Press Sound, then select the group and pad you want to adjust. Turn knob X to change the amplitude (volume) of that sound. This is the fastest method.
Fine control in Sound Edit
Press shift + sound to enter Sound Edit mode. Use minus and plus to navigate to the sound parameters, where knob X also controls amplitude. The difference here is that Sound Edit gives you access to all other per-sound settings at the same time, such as pitch, trim, and envelope.
Saving your changes
By default, volume changes apply to the sound within the current project only. To save your edits permanently to the sound, hold shift + sound for two seconds.
Group volume vs. sound volume
Keep in mind these are different things. Holding a group pad and moving the fader changes the overall volume for that entire group across all patterns and scenes, while the amplitude setting above only affects the individual sound on that pad.
