How do I change the volume of an individual sound?

The volume of a sound is controlled by the group it's in. Each group (A, B, C, D) has its own volume level.

To adjust volume for a specific sound, hold its group button and move the fader up or down. For example, if your kick drum is in Group A, hold Group A and move the fader to change its volume.

Per-Sound Volume Control

For individual pad-level control within a group, you can use the fader's pad volume mode.

  1. 1.Hold fader and press a pad above it to select "vol" (volume mode)
  2. 2.Move the fader to adjust that specific pad's volume

This gives you independent volume control for each of the 12 pads in the current group, rather than adjusting the whole group at once.

Recording Volume Automation

You can also record volume changes over time.

  1. 1.Hold record while moving the fader during playback
  2. 2.Your volume movements will be recorded into the pattern

To reset the fader to a neutral position, press shift + fader. Press again to undo the reset.
