How do I change the tempo/BPM?

You can set the tempo by pressing the TEMPO button and turning the BPM knob, or by typing a value directly on the pads.

Basic tempo adjustment

Press TEMPO to enter tempo mode, then turn the BPM knob (the orange knob in the top control row). This knob covers a range of 60 to 180 BPM.

Entering a specific BPM

To go outside the knob's range (40 to 399 BPM), hold TEMPO and type the desired value using the number pads. You can even include decimals, for example 120.51, by using the . pad between digits.

Tap tempo

Tap TEMPO repeatedly to set the tempo by feel.

Match tempo to audio

If you want to match the tempo of an incoming audio source, hold SAMPLE and TEMPO at the same time. Play audio into the mic or line-in and the KO II will detect and set the tempo automatically.
